Denis Saunders, Tecsys plc

Educated at Imperial College, London University and completing a MBA at the University of Bradford Management Centre, Denis Saunders, 41, is Managing Director of Calibrand Limited and Director of Future Dimension Ltd. His carrer has been mainly in the Financial Services and Employer-led Skills Sectors and has worked in the training and education software marketplace for more than a dozen years.

He has guided Calibrand to a point where it provides software that tracks about half the 16-21 year olds attending government sponsored employed-status training in England and Wales. In addition Calibrand assesses the regulated and non-regulated staff of many household names within the Financial Services sector, such as Lloyds TSB, Norwich Union Life and Bradford and Bingley.

Denis is the Chairman of Working Group 2, in the DTI Foresight Associate programme SCALE21 initiative. He has been instrumental in researching and setting the assessments, ensuring the active participation of a large sample of the UK Computing industry and processing and analysing the results. In doing this he has worked closely with Computer Weekly, Thomas International and the University of Derby among others.
